MAJID MOUSAVI

Majid Mousavi founded MUDMASKY® in 2015 after a moment that changed the way he looked at skincare forever. At the airport, he was searching for a good moisturizer to gift his girlfriend. Unsure which one to choose, he ended up buying five different products, all promising something slightly different.

At that airport he met dermatologist Lloyd Diamond who explained that most skincare products were filled with unnecessary and sometimes harmful ingredients, and that he did not need five products to achieve healthy skin.

That insight became the foundation of MUDMASKY®: one product that solves five concerns, represented by the five green stripes on every tube and the product must be pH-balanced, because he learned, that’s the key to a healthy skin.

Until that day Majid had no interest in skincare. What he learned opened his eyes to how unclear and overcomplicated the industry had been for decades. He began researching deeply, reading scientific studies, exploring ingredient safety, and speaking with experts.

The more he learned the more determined he became to create something different, something honest and effective. This became MUDMASKY®, a brand built on the idea that one product can replace five, symbolized by the five green stripes on every tube

Impact and Innovation

During the Covid pandemic, we donated more than 100,000 USD worth of our Leave-Me-On Winter Mask to hospitals worldwide, helping healthcare workers with eczema from surgical masks (“maskne”). After four years of independent testing, this product earned the National Eczema Association Seal on September 12, 2025.


In 2018, we became the first brand to treat the scalp like skin, years before the term “skinification” became a global trend.
